I recently purchased this book and have to say although short, I thouroughly enjoyed it. I'm not big on poetry, however the writtings of Mr Banks are both heartwarming and heart wrenching. I found myself laughing and tearing up. My favorite poems were "Happy Fathers Day" and "Jack & Jill". I look forward to future writings from Mr Banks... For anyone looking for a glimpse into the life of a wonderful man, then this is the book for you. Mr. Banks is very open and honest with his readers. His way of drawing you into his world is astounding. It was if I was his sister, and I was right there with him through his life.
Bacon Drippings is an awesome book. I am only a high school student, but have read just about anything and everything. When I started to read this book, I felt like I was actually talking with him, and listening to his life story. The open feeling that Rev S V Banks gave, makes a person feel like they are actually with him. This is definitely a book worth reading, when I was reading it, I just could not put it down!!!
Purchase this book and you will not be able to put it down. You will finish from front to back in one sitting! It'll make you laugh, sigh, sad, giggle and think. Purchase for yourself but order extra to give to others...it's that good! I hope Rev S V Banks is working on his next book!
