I read this awhile ago and it sit fondly in my kindle awaiting my turn to read it one more time. It is a suspense story about a heroine who stays alive through wit, math and out smarting her kidnapper...as she sends clues and ends up saving herself and taking the books to a happy ending. I have read nearly all of Lauren's books and I always look forward to more books in the future. I highly recommend Lauren's book...it is a thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout your read.Product details

There's so much wrong going on here that I don't even know where to begin. Some spoilers below but it's so ridiculously predictable that it doesn't matter. The lady gets kidnapped. She has her cell phone. Instead of calling 911 or anyone else to explain where she is and what's going on, she texts her friend cryptic text messages. The cops are clueless and bumbling and apparently unable to understand things like GPS coordinates when she texts them to her friend. Yes - her phone had GPS and she was able to use it. She texted her coordinates to her friend but they needed to ask the kidnapped woman's college math professor to decipher them because apparently GPS is some weird mathematical equation that no person of average intelligence can understand. Since the cops are too busy trying to break the enigmatic GPS code, the woman resorts to carving symbols on the trees outside the cabin she's at since maybe that will work. Then, once they're on the move once again, she starts leaving feminine products out in the woods. And.....SPOILER - what ultimately leads the cops to find her? Yup - the tree symbols and feminine products - even though she had her GPS-enabled phone with her for 2-3 days. Also, this constituted a lot of the dialogue "Uhhhh...." "Ummmmm....." "Uhhhhh....." "Ummmmm....." It drove me crazy.
